Look at This Cool New Thing I Got

Sharing Young Living has never been easier or so much fun.

I recently got the Aroma Carousel.  The entire set of the Everyday Oils Essential Oils Collection can be put in here.  You can actually have any of the oils you want in there, as they provide empty bottles, the labels, and a little plastic pipette. With the pipette, you can take out the oils from a larger bottle you have in stock, and put it in these tiny 2ml vials.  I chose to do the Everyday Oils Collection because it has everything there I love and I love to share!

People come into my home on occasion and they see my oils everywhere:

  • on my desk
  • in the kitchen
  • on the coffee table
  • in the bathroom
  • then my diffuser

So of course they are curious.  When I leave the carousel out in the most convenient place, they are inclined to play around with it.  I have my business cards nearby, and invariably, I get a few questions.

“Is this a pyramid scheme?”  LOL.  I always have to laugh at that one.  Do you get that too?

“No,” I say.  “It’s sold person to person, like Avon or Mary Kay,” and that really clarifies things a little. 😉

“I’ve been using them for (x) number of years,” (how many for you) – “and it’s my entire medicine cabinet.”

“We are moving consumer dollars away from Big Pharma, and into organic farming, worldwide.”

Whatever you need to do, get the word out.  The oils work. They heal people.  And people need healing.  We are all frustrated with conventional medicine, and our answers are all in God’s Oils.

If you have a business or service practice, having the Aroma Carousel right there on your front desk or nearby your healing table is a no-brainer.  It’s a great way to share samples.

Check out the Aroma Carousel on the Young Living site HERE.

I Missed My Power Meal!

I Missed My Power Meal!

IMG_3621

Now that I live in Hawaii, shipping products is an altogether different story than it used to be.  I used to be able to place my regular monthly order with Young Living, and 4 – 5 days later getting it at my door.

No more!

Now, if I want anything sent quickly, it’s got to be the 2 – day Fed-Ex route. And coming to Hawaii, that isn’t cheap.

But I didn’t always know that.

When it came time to replenishing my Power Meal once I had run out, I chose “Parcel Post”.  Oh Boy. What a mistake.  Do you know how long it took to get here?  6 WEEKS!

During that time I was waiting, I realized my energy levels were low.   I could tell I was missing something nutritionally that I couldn’t put my finger on!  I had to sleep more, and even started taking naps!  OMG I thought I was going to just melt down into nothing!

I kept asking the post office when my package would arrive…  I was eating all kinds of crazy things for breakfast: cereal, pastries, bacon and eggs… like every day.  Bacon and eggs!  It’s fine on the weekend, but every day?  Not so much…

I never realized how much good this product was doing for me!

I don’t know if you’ve ever tried Power Meal, but Dr. Gary Young developed a vegetarian, whole meal, replacement protein powder that is really wonderful.  He developed it for himself when he was a body builder, and later went on to win Mr. Utah 2 years in a row when he was in his 40s!
Now, I’m not so interested in being Ms. Hawaii.  But I am interested in having plenty of energy all day long to do all the things I want to do, and not get tired.
When I use Power Meal as my morning protein shake, I feel energized all day, and I don’t need another meal until lunch time.
You will feel the energy immediately too!  I have no need for snacking, and I don’t get those sugar blues crashes around 4 pm.  That can happen if you have a high-carb breakfast in the morning.  Think muffins or pastries, or anything sweet.  Even your cereal!  Ever want to fall asleep at 4 pm crashes and you don’t know why?  It’s your sugar carb breakfast coming back to bite you! With a high-protein breakfast you can get your metabolism really going. This protein shake is rice based, and contains the Ningxia Wolfberries.  Gary’s formula also includes the essential oils of orange and lemon right in the powder. What you see pictured here is my morning routine now, and my energy levels stay smooth and even all day. No more need for naps!  I make it with almond milk mixed with water, a few frozen strawberries and 1/2 a fresh banana.  If you want you can throw a few drops of vanilla in as well.

Mmmmmm good.

I never want to go without having Power Meal again!

Do yourself a favor and invest in the right nutritional supplements that are really good for you, and over the years you will see the anti-aging effects of what taking good care of your body can do!

Whenever I move…

Whenever I move…

IMG_3568

The image above is the collection of oils I have for easy access near my reading and meditation space.  It’s where I study the Course, (A Course in Miracles) and meditate daily.

As you may know I’ve just moved into a new space and whenever I do that, I can’t wait to get my regular piles of oils scattered around the house where I can use them easily.  Not to mention spritzing the house with Purification Oil Blend.

Purificationf3bef1

I always have one of those Purification spritzers handy in the house.  It simply helps purify the air both of smells you don’t want, and of any energy that may have been left over from previous residents or visitors.  It contains Citronella, lemongrass, rosemary, Melaleuca, lavandin, and myrtle.

It gets rid of mold and mildew, scares away ants and other critters and keeps your house smelling nice everywhere!  It’s also great in a diffuser whenever it’s time to ‘clear the air’.

To make a spritzer bottle of Purification, use:

1  – 4 oz. empty spritzer bottle
20  – drops of Purification Blend
4  – drops of Vodka
Fill with water

Why the vodka?  The alcohol helps the oils and the water blend together nicely instead of staying separated.

Here are some other ‘piles of oils’ I have handy around the house.  If I don’t get this set up as soon as I can when I’m in a new space, I’m missing my oils!

It sure can make me feel at  home wherever I go.

In the kitchen:

What Makes a Merry Christmas Spirit?

What Makes a Merry Christmas Spirit?

 Diffuser2 Plus_Sign_clip_art_medium_red  ChristmasSpirit3

What a beautiful scent Christmas Spirit is…  I always have it going at Christmas time and it is soooo nice.

See some of the tips below for other ways you can use it, especially vacuuming!!

According to the Essential Oils Desk Reference, this beautiful blend is:

“A purifying blend of evergreen, citrus, and spice, reminiscent of winter holidays, and brings joy, peace, happiness, and security.”

Ingredients:

Orange (Citrus sinensis) is elevating to the mind and body, bringing security, joy, and peace.

Cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum verum) is the oil of wealth from the Orient and part of the formula the Lord  gave  Moses  (Exodus 30:22-27).

Emperors of China and India measured their wealth partly by the amount of cinnamon they possessed.  Traditionally, it was thought to have a frequency  that attracted  wealth and abundance.  It brings back memories of wassail, home-cooked food, and fond memories of the  holidays.

Spruce (Picea mariana) helps the respiratory and nervous systems. It is anti-infectious, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory.  Its aromatic influences help to open and release emotional blocks, bringing about a feeling of balance and grounding. Traditionally, spruce oil was believed to possess the frequency of prosperity. This oil brings  memories of Christmas trees and makes the whole house feel more like home during the holidays.

Application:

  • Dilute 1 part essential oil to 1 part V-6 Vegetable  Oil Complex.
  • Diffuse, inhale directly, or add 2-4 drops to bath water.
  • Apply 1 to 2 drops over heart, on wrists, neck, temples, or foot Vita Flex points.
  • Dilute 1:15 with vegetable oil for a full-body massage.
  • Put 2 drops on a wet cloth and put in clothes dryer.
  • Put 4-8 drops on cotton balls or tissues and put in or on vents.
  • Add to cedar chips for dresser drawers.
  • Add a few drops to the wood before putting it in the fireplace.
  • Splash a few drops on your paper vacuum cleaner bag for an uplifting and happy feeling while cleaning the house.

Possible sun/skin sensitivity.

Some of the Best Gift Giving You can Imagine

Some of the Best Gift Giving You can Imagine

2014Holiday

The New 2014 Holiday Gift Guide can now be seen online.

I know if someone gave me something Young Living for Christmas, I wouldn’t moan..  at all.  (hint, hint… LOL!)

There are so many cool things this year, and just think about it: This is the most conscious gift-giving you can participate in.

Supporting organic farming world-wide, promoting health and introducing the people you care about the most on new health technologies (well, actually very ancient health technologies in fact) that saves lives, keeps your home chemical free, your kids immune-healthy, your emotions soothed, all your ‘owies’ healed and many, many more benefits.

Some people won’t try something until it’s all wrapped up in a nice little bow for them.

2014 Holday

So look at your list, check it twice, and make a decision on what gifts you could bring your friends and family that would do the most good in their lives… and in the world.

Lavender: The Universal Essential Oil

Lavender: The Universal Essential Oil

Lavender Essential Oil

Lavandula angustifolia

Lavender has a fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is soothing and refreshing. Because it is the most versatile of all essential oils, no home should be without it. Lavender is an adaptogen, and therefore can assist the body when adapting to stress or imbalances. It is a great aid for relaxing and winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy.

Therapeutic-grade lavender is highly regarded for skin and beauty. It may be used to soothe and cleanse common cuts, bruises, and skin irritations. The French scientist René Gattefossé was among the first to discover these properties when he was severely burned in a laboratory explosion. Lavender may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods.

Lavender is such a universal oil in so many ways. I have 2 or 3 bottles around at all times, and use it for such a variety of things. Read more details about it below, and follow the links to get your own as well. Also included here is a recipe for Lavender Lemonade! Perfect for summer and you would not believe how good it is… (and good for you!)

Perhaps ancient peoples intuitively knew what researchers are finding out about lavender…it calms anxiety and provides natural stress relief. And that’s not all — lavender has a long list of beneficial properties, making it a natural health superstar.

Lavender and Your Health

Aromatherapists feel that lavender essential oil is the most versatile because of its many properties and considers it one of the best essential oils to have on hand.

“My son had problems for years being able to fall asleep. He would lay there for hours it seemed. He had gotten into the habit of taking something over the counter before bedtime each night. He is 21 yrs old with a mind of his own, and I was really worried. One day, I asked him if I could put Lavender on the bottom of his feet at bedtime and he agreed. He slept like a baby and now he uses it every night. He no longer takes anything else!”

Regina Danley

Lavender has been used for:

  • Pain relief
  • Headaches – including migraines – and muscle aches and sprains
  • Menstrual cramps
  • Relaxation and sleep
  • Burns
  • Acne
  • Insect bites, Dry skin, and as a deodorant
  • Muscle relaxant
  • Rub several drops of Lavender oil into the scalp to help eliminate dandruff.
  • Place a few drops of Lavender oil on a cotton ball and place in your linen closet to scent the linens and repel moths and insects.
  • Place a drop of Lavender oil in your water fountain to scent the air, kill bacteria and prolong the time between cleanings.
  • Place a few drops of Lavender oil on a wet cloth and throw into the dryer, which will deodorize and freshen your laundry.
  • Put a drop of Lavender oil on a cold sore.
  • Diffuse Lavender oil to alleviate the symptoms of allergies.
  • Spritz several drops of Lavender oil mixed with distilled water on a sunburn to decrease pain.
  • Drop Lavender oil on a cut to clean the wound and kill bacteria.
  • Apply 2-3 drops of Lavender oil to a rash to stop the itching and heal the skin.

Here’s a Lavender Lemonade recipe for you to enjoy:

Lavender Lemonade
(they make at the restaurant at the Young Living Farm in Mona, Utah – It’s delicious!)
7 lemons, peeled and juiced
2 limes, peeled and juiced
1 drop pure, therapeutic-grade lavender oil
14 cups water
1-1/2 cup Blue Agave

Mix all ingredients together and chill. Add more water or Blue Agave, depending on the size and tartness of the fruit. Be careful that you don’t add more than a drop of lavender oil so that it does not overpower your lemonade.

Enjoy!

My Latest New Favorite Thing: A.R.T. Night Reconstructor

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always enjoyed experimenting with new, higher quality skin care products, as long as they were non-commercial and chemical free.

Naturally pure skin care products with high quality ingredients is fairly new territory in the beauty industry. The capacity to clinically research, identify and procure high quality ingredients that made visible differences in the appearance of facial skin has traditionally belonged to the big cosmetic companies that had the resources to do so. But these large Continue reading
